The pieces are already here. They just never meet.

The problem is not always a shortage of ideas, talent, institutions or capital. It is that the right people and resources rarely arrive around the same company, at the same time, in the right sequence.

Ask why more companies do not get built in Africa and the answers come quickly: not enough ideas, not enough talent, not enough institutions, not enough capital.

Look closely at a company that did not get built and a different picture shows up. The founder existed. The builder existed. The customer existed. So did the technology, the infrastructure, the expertise, the institution and the capital.

They simply never arrived around the same company, at the same time, in the right sequence. Company creation itself is fragmented, and a fragmented process produces fewer companies than the inputs should allow.

That is the gap Ighodalo Labs was built to close. Not by adding another source of ideas or another pool of capital, but by assembling the people and capabilities a particular venture needs around the work in front of it.
